Six Different pie charts proportion which tell us band 9 vocabulary

 

PIE CHART:- Starting lines

• Rent makes up half of the living expenses.
• Half of the living expenses.
• Rent accounts for  50% of the total.
• 50% of the living expenses is rent. (Do not start with Number)
• Fifty percent of the living expenses is rent.
• Fifty per cent of the living expenses is rent.

Now we learn about most important vocabulary.

According to the pie chart, tea accounts for 42% of the total.(Wrong)

IMPORTANT VOCABULARY

Exactly, Precisely – 42%

Around, Approximately, nearly, close to, roughly – 40%

Slightly above, just over – 40%

Slightly below, just under – 45%

• According to the pie chart, tea accounts for precisely/exactly        42% of the total.(Right)
• According to the pie chart, tea accounts for close to 40% of the total.
• According to the pie chart, tea accounts for slightly above 40% of the total.
• According to the pie chart, tea accounts for just under 45% of the total.
• According to the pie chart, tea accounts for slightly below 45% of the total.
