Past Perfect Tense (ਪਾਸਟ ਪ੍ਰਫੈਕਟ ਟੈਂਸ)

ਪਹਿਚਾਣ :- ਵਾਕ ਦੇ ਅੰਤ ਵਿਚ ਚੁੱਕਾ ਸੀ, ਚੁੱਕੀ ਸੀ, ਚੁੱਕੇ ਸਨ,ਚੁੱਕੀਆਂ ਸਨ, ਲਿਆ ਸੀ, ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ, ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਆਦਿ ਆਉਦਾ ਹੋਵੇ  ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਸਟ ਪ੍ਰਫੈਕਟ ਟੈਂਸ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਟੈਂਸ ਵਿਚ Helping verb Had ਅਤੇ ਵਰਬ ਦੀ ਤੀਸਰੀ ਕਿਰਿਆ (v³) ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। He/ she/ it /I /We /You / They/ Any Name/ Singular/ Plural  ਦੇ ਨਾਲ Had ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ।

Negative: – ਨਾਂਹ ਵਾਚਕ ਵਾਕ ਬਨਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਲਈ Helping verb had ਤੋਂ ਬਾਦ not ਲਗਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

Interrogative: – ਵਾਕ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਨ ਵਾਚਕ ਬਨਾਉਣ ਲਈ Helping verb had ਨੂੰ ਵਾਕ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਵਿੱਚ (ਕਰਤਾ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ) ਲਗਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਨ ਚਿੰਨ੍ਹ (?) ਲਗਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

Interrogative negative:-  ਜੇਕਰ ਵਾਕ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਨ ਵਾਚਕ ਤੇ ਨਾਂਹ ਵਾਚਕ ਬਣਾਉਣਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ Helping verb had  ਨੂੰ ਵਾਕ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਵਿੱਚ (ਕਰਤਾ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ) ਅਤੇ not ਕਰਤਾ (Subject) ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਲਗਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਨ ਚਿੰਨ੍ਹ (?) ਲਗਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

Rules in English:-

1)	Simple	Sub +Had +v3 +obj.
2)	Negative	Sub +Had +not +v3 +obj.
3)	Interrogative	Had +sub +v3 +obj?
4)	Interrogative+Negative	Had +sub +not +v3 +obj?

Examples:-

1)	ਉਹ ਮੈਚ ਜਿੱਤ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਸਨ।	They had won the match.
2)	ਉਹ ਮੈਚ ਨਹੀ ਜਿੱਤ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਸਨ।	They had not won the match.
3)	ਕੀ ਉਹ ਮੈਚ ਜਿੱਤ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਸਨ?	Had they won the match?
4)	ਕੀ ਉਹ ਮੈਚ ਨਹੀ ਜਿੱਤ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਸਨ?	Had they not won the match?

1)	ਮੇਰੇ ਸਟੇਸ਼ਨ ਪਹੁੰਚਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਗੱਡੀ ਜਾ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਸੀ।	The train had left before I reached at station.
2)	ਮੇਰੇ ਸਟੇਸ਼ਨ ਪਹੁੰਚਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਗੱਡੀ ਨਹੀ ਜਾ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਸੀ।	The train had not left before I reached at station.
3)	ਕੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਟੇਸ਼ਨ ਪਹੁੰਚਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਗੱਡੀ ਜਾ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਸੀ?	Had the train left before I reached at station?
4)	ਕੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਟੇਸ਼ਨ ਪਹੁੰਚਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਗੱਡੀ ਨਹੀ ਜਾ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਸੀ?	Had the train not left before I reached at station?
